I’m going to reveal 2 of my best and favorite ways to get traffic to any website and also include some advanced traffic techniques that you’ve probably never seen before.

1) Tribal Traffic

First Strategy number one which I call as tribal traffic.

This tribal traffic strategy or method helps you to get free traffic and it works almost in any niche using this method.

So what is this traffic source?

It’s a social media network called Pinterest

Pinterest is a goldmine for free buying targeted traffic but it’s very important to use Pinterest in a particular way to get good results.

Know that Pinterest traffic is one of the best quality traffic according to the insights published by Shopify.

Of course Pinterest is right being considered one of the best free traffic sources for affiliate marketing

The average order value for buyers coming from Pinterest is over $50 which is actually higher than any other social media network and 93% of Pinterest users use Pinterest to research something before they actually go online to buy something.

So this means that Pinterest traffic is absolutely worth a dig and is definitely the type of traffic that you want to get to your business or website.

Now I’m going to show you how to use Pinterest in a very different and unique way using something that’s called the tailwind tribes.

If you don’t know what that is, basically Tailwind is a software tool but they have free pricing which is definitely more than enough for you to get started and the best part is that they provide a non-credit card trial for you to sign up for the free trial.

Tailwind Tribe really solves a big issue for anyone who is trying to get traffic from Pinterest.

For example, If you’ve tried social media before or even Pinterest and failed then I know exactly how you guys feel

Maybe you posted great content on your site and created excellent social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest and nothing happened.

No shares and no traffic, nobody is finding your content and nobody is sharing it.

And all you got from all of my social media efforts are just tiny amounts of traffic

Do you ever think or wonder like “Why is nobody sharing my content, It’s so frustrating even after I have worked so hard on the content.

I just hope there was a simpler way to connect and partner up with someone in my industry or niche with a similar number of followers. so that we could promote each other’s posts/content i.e. Cross-Promote

Basically what a tribe means is a group of people who are all in that same niche.

For example, fashion niche, insurance niche or recipes niche, and they all agreed to share each other’s content.

All of this sharing is done simply by this tool which is called tailwind, so let’s break down exactly how this traffic method works.

 

First Sign Up For a Pinterest Business Account

Register for a Pinterest account if you don’t have one already.

Just head over to business.Pinterest.com and create an account there.

Simply fill out your profile details such as name, password and all that stuff.

Oh and make sure to put in the URL of your website

Your profile is created.

Now we need to complete your profile to make it look active and here is exactly how you can do that.

Next, I would recommend you to create around ten to twenty boards which are gonna be the subtopics within your niche.

For example, you can use guitars, then your boards can be electric guitars, acoustic guitars,  guitars, and so forth.

Now you need to pin at least ten to twenty pin images into each of those boards just to make them look complete and filled out.

To do that simply head over to Pinterest and type in acoustic guitars into the Pinterest search bar find some pin images that look good and save them to the acoustic guitars board.

Simply Repeat this process and save ten to twenty pin images to each of your boards.

Now your profile will no longer look newly made and empty and now moving on to the next step.

Next, it’s time to create pins for your own content, go through each post on your site to which you’d like to get traffic from Pinterest, and then create a Pinterest-sized image for it.

Recommended image sizes are 1000 pixels wide by 1500 pixels high.

You can use a free program like Canva to create your images simply and easily.

Simply just Create a pin for each of your posts.

To do that click the plus sign and upload the image that you’ve just created, fill out the description and make sure that it’s rich with keywords, and enter the URL of the post.

Simply take every post on your site to which you’d like to drive traffic to from Pinterest and just repeat the whole process.

This is one of the best free traffic sources for affiliate marketing. Many affiliate products used to get promoted via Pinterest pins if you observe.

Arrange all of those pins that link to your own content into a new separate board.

For example, arrange all of the pins that link to post on your website into a board called Best of Shouttips/your blog name.

This will also help you to stay organized in the future.

After you sign up simply fill out your profile and link to your Pinterest account

Just go to the tribe’s feature and select Find the tribe from

You can also search for the tribes in your niche, for example, if you can type in fashion and look through all of the tribes in the fashion niche.

When you find the tribe that looks good to you, you can request to join the tribe and once you’re accepted you’ll be able to nominate which of your content you would like other people to share and you will be able to start sharing other tribe members content.

Generally, the more content from others within the tribe you share on your profile the more likely it will be that others will share your posts on their profile too and that’s how Tailwind tribes work because Tailwind actually keeps track of all of the statistics.

So what’s a good tailwinds strategy?

Most people post anywhere between 30 to 50 pins a day.

The best part is if you are busy you can also schedule all of your pins by days or week in advance ideally.

I recommend you pin approximately 50% of your own content and the other 50% of the content from other members of your tribe.

This will ensure that you keep a good amount of loyalty points within the tribe and a lot of the members of the tribe will be very likely to pin your content on their profile.

At the end, you can expect good traffic. This is currently one of the best free traffic sources for affiliate marketing as per my observation.

 

2) Reverse Pitch Method

Let’s now move on to strategy number two, which I call the reverse pitch method.

The reverse pitch method will help you to drastically increase your search engine rankings and get you more traffic if you do it the right way.

Google traffic is free and the best part is it’s super and very converting and profitable.

This reverse Pitch method will help you to improve your current search engine rankings and also get more traffic from Organic Google searches.

Here is how it works

You may already know that backlinks among all the ranking factors in Google are one of the very important into increasing your rankings.

When backlinko analyzed the most relevant ranking factors, they found that the number one factor is the number of backlinks pointing to the particular page.

If your Individual page is from a weaker domain but with more links pointing to it can actually outrank a page with a stronger domain but with fewer links pointing to it.

That simply means that if unless you have an insanely powerful domain with huge DA and PA with lots of social shares, you actually need to focus your efforts on building backlinks to your content on the individual pages.

And the best way to do this is by pitching your content to other sites.

This is normally how the normal pitch process usually goes.

 

Step 1: Choose Keywords

You select your keywords then  you produce your content

Step 2: Contact Other Site Owners For Backlinks

And then you start contacting the owners of other sites and blogs and ask them to start linking to your content.

 

This rarely works unless you are authoritative.

Surprisingly some people will even just passively wait for those links to magically appear which rarely happens in this type of normal pitch process.

And the worst part is that It’s always extremely hard to get responses from the people who are trying to beat the content.

It’s not uncommon to send 100 of these outreach emails and get zero replies and it’s also discouraging.

So here is how the reverse speech process actually works and why it’s much better than the normal pitch process.

Basically, we flip the process, so let’s break it down.

Step one will be as per usual which is to find the keywords for which you want to produce your content.

The keywords selected need to have a reasonably good chance of actually ranking on page one.

 

Use the KWfinder Tool To Do Reverse Pitch

A free way to do that would be to use a free tool like kWfinder to generate your list of keywords.

KWfinder has a free pricing tier which is again more than enough to get started.

For example, if you type in the main keyword into kW finder.

KWinder will show a lot of information and data along with the anticipated difficulty of how hard it’s going to be for you to rank for that particular keyword.

In this example, kW finder is suggesting that the keyword “Top 10 Cameras”

Now we’ve got our keyword and it’s time to move on to step 2 which is starting the reverse pitch.

Reverse speech is actually about studying the pitch before we even create the content, going with the previous example let’s say if we wanted to create an article about Cameras let’s call it something like “10 best Cameras for Vlogging”

Now With the reverse speech process does is that we want to try and get agreement to backlinks even before we create the content.

So how exactly does this work

Contact the owners of other blogs or websites and simply ask them to contribute to the content before you even Create it.

While you’re pitching them to add their thoughts on the content you can plant the idea in their mind to link to your content at a later point in time once that content is actually created.

This strategy works really great.

Why?.

Because Value matters and You’re able to offer something that has a lot of value to them too.

First, you will need to identify good targets for your reverse Pitch.

To do that, you will need to create a list of sites that we’re going to be asking to contribute to our post.

I find that a list of about 30 sites works great.

To find these sites you can use a free tool such as MOZ toolbar. Simply Google MOZ toolbar and install it.

Next head over to Google and type in the search query which is related to the topic of your blog post but does not directly compete with it.

If your post is going to be about “Top Cameras for Vlogging” then an example of a search query that you might type into Google is “Canon camera reviews” or related search queries.

In the top right of your screen, you will be prompted to log in to your Moz account or create one if you don’t have one yet.

After logging in repeat the search query, this time you will see search results and along those search results, you will see some metrics such as Domain Authority and Page Authority.

I recommend targeting sites which have domain Authority similar to yours slightly above or slightly below.

Then you need to contact them and ask them if they would be interested in submitting a tip for your round-up post or some kind of advice or input into the article.

Importantly you want to tell them that you’re going to link to their website and give them full credit as well as a backlink after you publish the post.

A script like this works great.

Notice that we’re actually offering them something of great value, a backlink to their website and all website owners are looking for more backlinks.

So chances are that they’ll be really happy and excited to hear from you.

Also, notice that we’re carefully suggesting that they link to our article once it’s completed at the same time we’re not being too pushy about it.

This is really a true win-win and also your response rate is gonna be a lot likely to be much higher than with the normal pitch process.

So no more of that disappointment and rejection.

The Final step is to gather their tips and responses and actually publishing the post.

Simply After you get their responses back, go and create a beautiful value full stunning article. Then only it will act as one of the best free traffic sources for affiliate marketing or to pull traffic.

It’s important to make sure that it’s insanely high value and it should be pretty easy because you’re going to have input from some real people with some real steps tips and hopefully some stats as well.

This type of content is not just theoretical, so naturally, by default, it carries an insane amount of value too.

Once you’ve created the content and posted it on your website, simply contact all of the contributors and send them a link to the finished article along with the suggestion that once again they can see the link to the finished product to their website.

This really works out well and it will result in high-quality content based on real data, statistics, experiences, and stories from real people.
